Regarded as the eighth wonder of the world, the Holy Basilica was used as a basilica during 916 years and a mosque during 482 years. In 1935 it became finally a museum by order of Atatürk. Yerebatan Sarayi (Cistern Basilica) Built under Constantine (IVe century) and increased by the Justinien emperor (532). This large cistern fed out of water the imperial palace. It is 143 m long on 70 m broad. |
